Enter Your License Key - An important Step? Yes!
In order to protect our software code and copyrights, we use an online registration system that will generate random and unique keys to our users. In order to install our software, you must enter a valid license key into the first screen of the install. Your key will be saved in a file on your server called license.php. Each time you login to your Administrator's Control Panel, a quick check is executed to authenticate you as a valid license holder.
Registration Steps:
You need to launch the installation script by pointing your browser to the install.php file.
i.e.: http://www.mysite.com/locator/install.php
The first screen you will be presented with is the "Enter Your License Key" screen.
Please enter your license key into into the text box provided and click the "Continue" button. Installation will save your entry on your server.
Find your License Key:
If you don't know your license key, it can be found in your Member's Account by logging in at www.ultimatelocator.com and clicking the "View Your Licenses" link.
Simply copy and paste your key.
Local Key is also available:
Your License Key above is for authenticating your license with our Licensing server via sockets (internet connection). In the event that your server can not communicate with our Licensing server, you can also use an encrypted local license key on your server that can validate your license. The "Local Key" is different from your "License Key" (but essentially do the same thing).
On your first Administrator's Control Panel login attempt, your license will be validated and assigned to your server. Shortly after that, you should receive an email with the Local Key attached. Or you can login to your Member's Account and click the "Download Local Key" button for this license.
You will need to upload the key.php to your /locator/admin directory.
